Our Political Presence
1972
Shree Kiritsinhji Anopsinhji Gohil, an ex-police constable started his political career as a designated Principal member of ‘Ukharla Seva Sahakari Chamber’
1974
He was elected as the President of ‘Ghogha-Bhavnagar Trade Union’
1978
Preceding as the ‘Member of Legislative Assembly’ (MLA) from Ghogha (rural) Elections.
1978 1982
Appointed as the Minister Of Home Affairs from the state of Gujarat for Congress National Party, also being the only individual in the Stature of a minister from Bhavnagar, Gujarat.
1983
Leading the Marine Development Committee of Bhavnagar-Ghogha, claimed and convinced to file the petition, taking in confidence the Chief Minister of Gujarat Shree Madhavsinhji Solanki and then Finance Minister Shree Sanat Mehta of its potential and hence inaugurating the presently prominent and acclaimed ship breaking yards at Alang. Also inaugurating the Bhavnagar Marketing Yard in the same year.

Taking over of a long distance coach & public travel company by purchasing a majority stake in the target firm, Mahalaxmi Travels and rebranding the entire company to presently known as Maya Travels & Roadline Co.
1981
Inaugurating the flagship office in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India.
1985
Scoring the selection of dealers for our proposed Fuel Station for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) and setting up our first Fuel service station in the rural of talaja, Bhavnagar hence selling Petrol, Diesel, Automotive LPG and CNG.
2002
Yash Developers enters into a long term maintenance and lease contract for wind energy giant for energy generation project in Gujarat, India.
2014
Expansion of company stakes into stone crushing and quarry industry under the name of Torrent Stone Industries.
2016
Integration of the company reach into the commercial shipping by the acquisition of shares in a regional towage company, rebranding and currently trading under the name of Maya Marine & Logistics.
2019
Maya Group expands overseas through an investment company, Maya Overseas Ltd registered in England & Wales based in London.
Maya family continues with hands-on management & prominent ownership of the businesses today.
